10 Speeches That Will Reduce Any Buffy Fan To Tears
I’m not crying… someone just dusted a vampire in my eye, that’s all.
"Giles, I'm sixteen years old. I don't wanna die."
Buffy: I don't care! I don't care. Giles, I'm sixteen years old. I don't wanna die. (Season 1, Episode 12, “Prophecy Girl”)
A cruel reminder of the slayer's life. Buffy's 16 – she should be out with her friends, not risking her life to save the world. Yes, Buffy has super powers, but she also has the hopes and dreams of any other 16-year-old: she wants to live. And this tearful reminder of her mortality is chilling to say the least.

"Without passion…we’d be truly dead."
Angelus: Passion…it lies in all of us. Sleeping. Waiting. And though unwanted, unbidden…It will stir…Open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love…the clarity of hatred…and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we’d know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms: shuttered and dank. Without passion…we’d be truly dead. (Season 2, Episode 17, “Passion”)
CRUEL. Whedon's well-renowned for killing off beloved characters, but the death of Jenny Calendar may have over-stepped the mark. "What makes it so unsettling?", you ask. Well, I'll tell you: Angelus' monologue. Seriously disturbing.

"I don't understand. I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this."
Anya: I don't understand. I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she's, there's just a body, and I don't understand why she can't just get back in it and not be dead any more. It's stupid. It's mortal and stupid, and, and Xander's crying and not talking, and I was having fruit punch and I thought, well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch, ever. And she'll never have eggs, or yawn, or brush her hair, not ever and no one will explain to me why. (Season 5, Episode 16, “The Body”)
This moment is truly, truly heartbreaking. Anya's tough and hilarious and always the first to be sarcastic about everything…yet here she cracks. And it's such a human response.

"Dawn, the hardest thing in this world — is to live in it."
Buffy: Dawn, listen to me, listen. I love you. I will always love you. But this is the work that I have to do. Tell Giles...tell Giles I figured it out. And, and I'm okay. And give my love to my friends. You have to take care of them now. You have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world — is to live in it. Be brave. Live...for me. (Season 5, Episode 22, “The Gift”)
Perhaps Buffy's most heroic moment, this tearful speech shows Buffy's unconditional love for those who are dear to her. A beautiful monologue, complete with the iconic cruciform dive.

What The World Was Like When Today's High School Seniors Were Born
1997 wasn’t that long ago, right?
Right now, kids from all over the country are beginning their senior year of high school. They're well on their way to college. And they were mostly born in 1997.

A Fan Made An Impressive Animated Version Of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"
Artist Stephen Byrne ‘s The Animated Adventures of Buffy proves that this cartoon needs to happen ASAP.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which went off the air in 2003, gets an animated overhaul in artist Stephen Byrne's opening credit sequence for The Animated Adventures of Buffy.
Sadly, this is not a real show, but at least it proves that an animated Buffy show could work EXTREMELY WELL.
Yep, the gang's all here: Xander, Willow, Angel, Spike, Giles, Buffy, and Dawn.
It also seems to have tied in the world of Angel, as the brooding vamp can be seen here in puppet form, just like he was in the fifth Angel season. Also, bonus points if you can get the villains referenced in the paintings behind them.

Even ::sniff:: Tara can be accounted for, albeit in ghost form.
What's great is that it seems to continue from where the show left off, as evidenced by Xander rocking the eyepatch he wore after losing an eye in the last season.

16 Stories From People Whose Lives Were Improved By TV
Sometimes one episode of Frasier is enough to send you back.
Will & Grace
NBC
Whenever I watch Will & Grace, I'm reminded of the last couple of years I spent in the Philippines, and my first few years in America. It was sort of like my transition object, the thing I used to pretend my life was still the same when I moved from Manila to Las Vegas. It was also my bonding tool with my mother; we'd watch it in the evening on both sides of the Pacific. Whenever I watch reruns now, 10 years later, I'm compelled to call her now that she's gone back to live in the Philippines. But I'd fail to compute the time difference properly and end up waking her at some odd hour. One time she stayed on the line for an entire episode — the one where Will's mother is in a wheelchair and he has to take care of her. It was nice. —Matt Ortile
Felicity
The WB
I love Felicity. The show's first season coincided with my first year in university, and it felt very real to me at the time. Sure, it captured something of that sense of excitement and fear of leaving home and making the first steps out into the world as an adult-ish type, but in retrospect, I see now that I was attracted more to the show's sense of romance: the romance of following your desires and impulses and — I hate saying this — following your heart, come what may. That, and Scotts Speedman and Foley were hella cute and probably expedited my emerging homosexuality. Also, it made me wary of cutting my hair too short. —Declan Cashin

18 Times "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" Made You Ugly Cry
Grab Mr. Pointy and some ice cream and get ready to cry.
When Buffy finds her mother dead on the couch.
“You’re not supposed to touch the body!”
Why You'll Cry: Joss Whedon likes to break your heart until you need to lay down and eat ice cream... and then stab you in the gut with the Slayer Scythe while you're too busy crying to notice you're being stabbed. That's what this scene is.
How Long It’ll take You To Recover: 10–24 hours.

When Anya walks down the aisle... alone.
“I, Anya, promise to love you, to cherish you, to honor you, ah, but NOT to obey you, of course, because that's anachronistic and misogynistic and who you do you think you are, like a sea captain o-or something?”
Why You'll Cry: SHE’S STOOD UP AT THE ALTAR BECAUSE NOTHING HAPPY CAN EVER HAPPEN TO THESE CHARACTERS EVER.
How Long It’ll take You To Recover: A solid 48 hours. But you still won't ever fully forgive Xander.
UPN / Via fanpop.com
Tara getting shot by Warren.
“Your shirt.”
Why You'll Cry: Because you aren’t a robot devoid of emotions and Tara and Willow were arguably one of the best couples on television and Amber Benson can break your heart with just one line.
How Long It’ll take You To Recover: You will literally never recover from this heartbreak. Your world will come crashing down.
UPN / Via tumblr.com
Angel getting his soul back, right before Buffy has to kill him.
“Close your eyes.”
Why You’ll Cry: Willow does her job and gives Angel his soul back after spending nearly the entire season without his soul (and tormenting Buffy) — but it’s too late because everything is always terrible for everyone on this show.
How Long It’ll take You To Recover: A whole summer.
